During my stay I took the saturday morning beach yoga with Linda.Linda was amazing calm, knowledgeable, and very encouraging. I left the class feeling relaxed, stretched, and inspired to keep practicing. Highly recommend!

As guests at Sanctuary we experienced Saturday morning beach Yoga with Lara and then Sunday (rainy) studio yoga with Robin. Both very different, but both amazing! Enjoyed both instructors and their varying styles. Started our days very relaxed and inspired!

Loved the Pilates class I took with Monterey Bay Moves with Shaden. An incredible instructor with positive and inclusive energy. The esthetics of the space is so calming and views great. Looking forward to more classes. Really enjoyed it.

Beach yoga was an amazing experience

We had the pleasure of working with Monterey Bay Moves at our Board of Directors retreat held in August at The Sanctuary Beach Resort, and we couldn’t be more grateful for the wellness experiences Liz and her team provided!
Wanting to ensure this retreat felt more restorative than in years past, we turned to Monterey Bay Moves – and they truly delivered.
Their sessions, including mindfulness meditation, a “Happy Hour Movement” unwind, and a stretching sound bath mobility class, were thoughtfully crafted to support relaxation, reflection, and connection. Each session was professionally facilitated with a gentle and encouraging approach, making even our most novice participants feel comfortable and engaged. The mindfulness meditation, in particular, offered a grounding experience that set the tone for a meaningful and connected retreat.
Monterey Bay Moves brought a perfect blend of rejuvenation and tranquility that truly made our retreat special. Highly recommended!

I had a compassionate yet challenging mind-body wellness experience in classes with Elizabeth (yoga nidra), Robyn (slow flow on the beach), Rosa (stretching, journaling, sound bath), and Lisa (beach flow) that I would recommend to *any* woman. They were the highlight of my stay at the Sanctuary. As a former yogi dealing with injuries and chronic conditions who is looking to reconnect with my body and fitness, and as a Monterey local, I am so fortunate to have discovered Monterey Bay moves–and especially Robyn’s practice and teaching (she is a bright spot in the world).

My very first yoga class at MBM was absolutely great! Our instructor was caring, kind and professional. I am beyond excited to discover that little hub, less than ten minutes to my new home in Marina! Looking forward to many more classes!

I’ve been attending classes with MBM for over 3 years and they have provided me with the structure, accountability, and social atmosphere I desire while working out. Coming from a team sports background, I found it difficult to consistently work out alone after college; Elizabeth and her team were just the right fit for my needs. The expertise of instructors and the variety of classes ensures an always engaging experience. An added perk is the friendships I’ve made with other longtime members!

We came on a girls weekend and wanted to do yoga on the beach. We came across this morning yoga flow with Robin at the Sanctuary. The experience far exceeded our expectations! Not only was the view amazing but Robin led us through a very grounding yoga flow. Her bubbly personality and calming presence created the ideal experience! The staff members also went above and beyond to offer drinks, mats and transport to the location. Thank you!!

Elizabeth is an amazing person! Her compassionate and comprehensive approach to personal training has been transformative and helped support me in my journey to become a stronger person physically, emotionally, and mentally. She has been an integral part of my health journey and has helped me reach my fitness goals for the past 2 years despite several physical and personal difficulties, I really feel fortunate to have found MBM.

Such a great group class experience! The studio and environment was beautiful and everything needed (yoga mat, blocks, etc) was provided. The stretching class was both challenging and relaxing. It was accessible to everyone- different ages and ability! Highly recommend Monterey Bay Moves for those looking to simply get moving again!

If you’re looking to take up running but feeling intimidated, Monterey Bay Moves is the place to go, and Coach Rosa is the best running trainer. I signed up for their running program with zero experience and a fear of injuries.
Coach Rosa is very knowledgeable about running form, technique, and injury prevention.Our running group was always so supportive and we finished last quarter with a real 5K.
Thanks to Monterey Bay Moves, I went from a reluctant runner to someone who actually looks forward to running. I hope to continue this hobby for a lifetime.

Elizabeth meets each client exactly where they are with such compassion and positivity. Working 1:1 with her has allowed me to push my own limits knowing that she is there to both cheer me on and catch me when I push too far. I walk out of each session feeling stronger and happier. Definitely a 5 star review!

This was one of the most beautiful and wonderful yoga classes I have ever taken. The practice was the perfect balance of restorative and strengthening and the instructor offered modifications for almost every pose, which I always find to be very helpful and thoughtful. And closing the practice with a warm lavender scented eye pillow during shavasana while listening to the sound of the ocean was absolute perfection! I only wish I lived closer so I could practice with them all of the time, but this will definitely become part of my routine every time I visit Monterey!

Yoga at the beach?! Yes! Something everyone should experience. Our team stayed at the Sanctuary Beach Resort and everything was literally perfect. The team loved the location, the suites, and weather.
On our last day we met up with Monterey Bay Moves for a team yoga class at the beach. There were mats, water, and the lavender pillows! Our team theme was “when the going gets tough,” and MBM did a great job executing the class to our teams retreat theme. Thank you Elizabeth and Linda! We hope to stop by again!
